The process of organizing your schedule should be easy–and fast. The top Mac apps have a sleek, functional designs and can easily sync between your Mac and iPhone and iPad. They have separate work and home calendars and make it easy to only see the tasks that are important to you. They also let you modify your agenda views and include features like natural processing of languages and click-and drag time allocation for meetings.
One of the most well-known names in mac tools, Apple’s Calendar is available for free and is included with every Mac. It’s simplicity makes it a good option for those who want the basics. However, it’s integrated with iMessages, Mail and Siri, which means that your appointments will appear in these apps. It offers a variety of perspectives including monthly and weekly with an agenda view and a year-in-review. Apple Maps shows addresses and you can get a trip time alert prior to your appointment. It doesn’t have a to-do list however, you can choose to have tasks from Reminders and Todoist listed alongside your appointments.
BusyCal is another alternative. It looks similar to Apple’s Calendar, but it has some key differences. It provides five views (daily week, month year, list, and) It also has natural language processing that provides real-time feedback in real time, and lets you move meeting times. It can also display your to-dos and integrates with apps like Trello and Todoist to manage tasks (creating new occurrences as Todoist cards or Zapier actions). It doesn’t sync as easily with multiple accounts as other options on this list. However, it does support iCloud Exchange.
